This saw, invented prior to 1875, may be more of a conversation piece, but can be used to actually do good work. The saw is powered by a cord linking the lower arm to the operator's foot.

FOR THE BASES YOU WILL NEED 1 BOARD 8in x 24in LONG. WE RECOMMEND 1/2in-3/4in (HARDWOOD IS PREFERRED)

FOR THE SAW YOU WILL NEED 1 BOARD 1in THICK x 11in WIDE x 36in LONG.
